Chestnut Farm

Welcome to Chestnut Farm

Welcome to Chestnut Farm, coming soon.

Chestnut Farm is set in beautiful farmland at the top of Le Mont du Ouaisne with breathtaking views from the bedrooms over the bay.

We have a range of activities for individuals to take part in, both indoor and outdoor, and the centre has support workers on site 24/7 to look after our visitors.

We have five beautiful rooms for individuals to stay in, but also are happy to welcome people for day visits.

Our dedicated team at the farm are on hand to give both individuals and their carers a well-deserved break, safe in the knowledge that loved ones are being looked after and able to take part in fun, rewarding experiences.

Pool table at Chestnut Farm

We offer a range of fun and rewarding activities at chestnut farm, both indoor and outdoor (weather depending!)

Inside, we have a sensory room and pool table, and also host group activities such as baking in our wonderful kitchen. Visitors will be treated to three home-cooked meals a day, social activities & events, morning and afternoon workshops, overnight stays, and at Christmas, a Christmas play and a very special festive celebration! However, please note that we will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Tutela has always aimed to give a personal and caring touch to each individual we look after, and their carers and families. At Chestnut Farm, the Family Experience centres around a big home cooked meal around the farmhouse table. This is for individuals who may not be able to experience a family dinner or spend time with their family without care - we aim to send them home with a smile on their face.

There will be a vegan/veggie café with a farm shop selling organic produce (grown without chemicals or pesticides) which will enable our visitors to be involved in serving, packaging vegetables and dealing with the general public, fully supported by Tutela Staff. Individuals will also get the opportunity to take home vegetables from their own veggie patch!

Outdoors, we have expansive grounds for a range of outdoor activities, including outdoor Yoga, Zumba, horse riding (including for disabled visitors), picnics, taking care of our vegetable garden allotments and of course, meeting and helping to look after all of our wonderful farm animals.

A Tutela, we love animals, and we also believe that pet therapy is an effective way to promote wellbeing.

Chestnut Farm has a variety of animals which individuals can interact with such as Donkeys, Pigs, Sheep, Lambs, Shetland Ponies, Horses, Chickens and of course, Billy the Goat!

The petting farm at Chestnut Farm is not only for the benefit of our visitors, it's also a place for old and rescued animals who deserve a good home.

Visitors can expect to be introduced to the animals by the Stable Manager, learning how to treat and feed them, and keep them happy and calm.

With a variety of activities available for all of our visitors from simply feeding or petting the animals to horse-riding, Chestnut Farm is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our furry and feathered friends!
